Urk Monopoly Presented to World Record Holder Neil Scallan in London

Brothers Jelle and Lucas Hakvoort – creators of Monopoly Urk – found a video about Neil Scallan on social media. With no fewer than 4,379 Monopoly games, the Englishman holds the world record for the most Monopoly editions. However, the Urk edition was still missing from his collection, so on January 22nd, the brothers flew to London to personally present Neil with an Urk Monopoly.

Neil responded enthusiastically to Jelle and Lucas’s proposal. "He thought it was a great idea and looked forward to meeting the creators of a Monopoly edition," says Jelle. Once in London, the brothers were warmly welcomed into Neil's home, where they received a tour. "His house was filled to the brim with duplicate games. Including these editions, Neil owns over 6,000 games. His official collection is safely stored elsewhere, he told us."

Attraction among attractions

After their visit to Neil's house, the trio went into the city together to take photos at London's famous hotspots. "As soon as you take a picture with a world record holder, you become an attraction yourself! Tourists wanted to take pictures with us, made videos, and asked what we had done. It was a special experience."
